HOUSE OF LONALU is a sustainable brand that cares for the planet through fashion and style. HOUSE OF LONALI up-cycles discarded fabric and trims from the Sri Lankan apparel industry, into original fashion pieces while also working with the local cottage industry to regenerate designs and provides opportunities to uplift communities.
HOUSE OF LONALI is led by Lonali Rodrigo, a fashion graduate from AOD/Northumbria. Her main inspiration comes from the discards sourced. For the latest collection, HOUR OF LONALI had her offcuts are evolved into a patched textile with the inspiration of Swiss artist Camille Graeser’s paintings that formed colour, shapes and pattern to create the abstract patchwork which runs throughout the collection. It is a collection which communicates HOUSE OF LONALI’s story of up-cycling by connecting patchwork craft, inspiration of Graeser’s paintings and the brand’s fun attitude with a sporty edge to it.
